Las Vegas Strip Construction Update: Yellow and charcoal glass being installed on Veer Towers at MGM MIRAGE CityCenter

Construction Update: Very nice looking grey and yellow colored glass is starting to be installed on Veer Towers, two leaning luxury high-rise condominium towers on the Las Vegas Strip. Veer Towers consists of approx. 674 residential condos, divided up into two separate buildings. The success of MGM MIRAGE CityCenter (an $8.4 billion development) is good news for the local Las Vegas real estate market. While the media refuses to tell few positive stories happening in Las Vegas (especially on the Strip), CityCenter has set several records and has sold over $1.6 billion in real estate in just over a years time. But you didn’t see that on the news did ya?
Designed by architect Helmut Jahn, the Veer Towers development was crafted to appear much like diamonds rising out of a bed of fine crystals. The architecture is apparent as Veer Towers rises out of The Crystals at CityCenter, an approx. 500,000-square-foot retail and entertainment complex with frontage to the Las Vegas Strip. The yellow and charcoal glass is extremely refreshing, compared to so much silver and blue glass coming to the Strip.
Speaking of the media, the top-three residential price-per-square-foot records in Las Vegas history were recently set (just next door to Veer Towers) at The Harmon Hotel, Spa & Residences (read how expensive these properties were). The media did not report these facts as they feel doom-and-gloom is the better story to tell. Regardless, these sales were made and those who are looking to make a real estate investment have a right to know. I personally set these records and can attest that when I tried to share the good news with the local and national press, they pretty much told me that they were not interested in the story.
