Recently, it was announced that Sands Corp.’s Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino on the Las Vegas Strip had been awarded Silver LEED Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. According to GlobeSt.com, the USGBC named the approx. 3,000 room, multi-billion-dollar resort, the largest LEED-certified building in the world (saying it was four times larger than any other “green” project in the world). Will the Palazzo Luxury Condo project (Get on our Interest List) under construction on the Las Vegas Strip feature “green” condos like those being offered at MGM MIRAGE CityCenter? The Plaza has jumped another hurdle on its way to final approval. This exclusive resort, and Las Vegas luxury high-rise condo project on the Strip is poised to redefine the term luxury, in Las Vegas. The Clark County planning commission recently gave the go ahead for this massive project. At over 175,000 sq. ft., the Plaza’s casino will be the largest in Nevada, and dwarf the likes of the Wynn casino just across Las Vegas Blvd. (110,000 sq. ft.).
