Recently, it was announced that Sands Corp.’s Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino on the Las Vegas Strip had been awarded Silver LEED Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. According to GlobeSt.com, the USGBC named the approx. 3,000 room, multi-billion-dollar resort, the largest LEED-certified building in the world (saying it was four times larger than any other “green” project in the world).
