The Las Vegas Strip is approx. a year and a half away from adding one of the world’s finest hotels to its roster - and its name is ARIA Resort & Casino. On Monday, May 19th 2008, MGM is expected to make an announcement that the 61-story center attraction of its approx. $9.2-billion mega-resort CityCenter development has been named.

The gold rush was on in 2004 when buyers were grabbing Las Vegas luxury condos by the handful. Come 2007 and due to all of the non-stop Vegas real estate bashing by the media, the buyers are just plain scared. Not so with international buyers as they are outsmarting USA buyers every week.
As of June 2007 the Vegas Strip has around 30 billion in construction happening or starting soon. For the purpose of this article we will highlight projects that recently finished, are under construction or very likely to begin before 2010. With 30 billion already a sure thing can we hit 60 by 2010?
In part one of this article we discussed past history. In part two we will analyze the impact Steve Wynn’s Mirage had on this great city as well as why and how highrise condo projects in Las Vegas are leading the way to a more boutique and high end LV BLVD.
