While more statistical reporting firms continue to provide erroneous Las Vegas high-rise condo market statistics to the media; Luxury Realty Group provides the facts. In June 2008, it was reported that over 12,000 high-rise condos were under construction, a false number by a long shot. It’s a shame these types of mistakes keep happening. For those who want a true picture of the REAL numbers, we have provided them inside this blog. Oh, and a helpful tidbit to local stat firms - timeshares, wood-framed mid-rises, and condo conversions don’t count as high-rise condominium.
The truth about high-rise units currently under construction. The journalist reported over 12,000 (the number that a local statistical reporting service provided).

- Residential High-Rise Condo Projects under construction -
- 227 units - The Residences at Mandarin Oriental
- 674 units - Veer Towers
- 207 units - The Harmon Residences
- 372 units - Panorama Towers T3
- 418 units - Palazzo Luxury Condominiums
- 341 units - Juhl (BTW, Juhl is considered a mid-rise)
- Total Residential condo units under construction? Approx. 2,239
(minus 341 if you don’t count Juhl) -
- Condotel High-Rise Condo Projects under construction -
- 2,000 units - Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino
- 1,543 units - Vdara Condo Hotel at MGM MIRAGE CityCenter
- Approx. 1000 units - Fontainebleau Resort (this is not 100 percent verified)
- Total Condotel units under construction? Approx. 4,543 -
THE GRAND TOTAL FOR HIGH-RISE Condos Under construction in Las Vegas as of June 2008?
Approx. 6,782 condo units. Of which only approx 2,200 are residential. 1/3rd the inventory.
*One Las Vegas was not counted. At the time of this writing (per the developer) only tower 1 and 2 were completed and future towers were not currently under construction.
