The March 13, 2007 implosion of the famous Las Vegas Stardust hotel and casino marks the beginning of a new era of luxury real estate in the North Strip of Las Vegas
Gone are the Rat Pack days and enter the new days of luxury, boutique hotels. Boyd Gaming’s new multi-Billion dollar resort called Echelon is symbolic of the new luxury boutique hotel trend starting in Las Vegas. Even the Stardust implosion was a class act by Boyd Gaming. Certainly the public didn’t know there was going to be more than just an implosion of the remnants of the Stardust hotel and casino tower. Fireworks, countdowns and more were a great surprise and tribute to the Stardust. Check it out:

So now begins the most significant transition of the Las Vegas North Strip in the history of Las Vegas. The Venetian is completing its new addition called Palazzo which will be the tallest hotel and casino in Las Vegas upon completion later this year. Across the street from the Palazzo we have Wynn’s casino and hotel building and his second tower called Encore that is under construction. Across the street is Trump International Hotel and Tower Las Vegas tower one which is nearly topped out and tower two reservations are starting soon. Las Vegas Sky Condos is opening in just a few weeks and will be the first ultra luxury residential condo with a prime Las Vegas Blvd address.
Across the street from Sky is Turnberry’s new project called Fontainebleau that is under construction and will be an elegant hotel and casino. Further on the North Strip is the Sahara Hotel and Casino that was just purchased by a famous company with high end luxury properties in locations like Beverly Hills. The old Wet and Wild property will soon become a luxury project beside Turnberry Place Las Vegas. The list goes on and on and in five years you will not recognize the North Strip.
If you ever thought about owning Las Vegas real estate along the Strip, whether hotel condo or residential condo, now is the time to act.
