They are the leaders for the AAA Five-Diamond Awards for restaurants and hotels. Even better? The Las Vegas Strip is quickly elevating “Sin City” to a level unrivaled by any other city in the United States when it comes to luxury hospitality.
Luxury Realty Group broker, Bruce Hiatt, recently blogged about how Las Vegas has tied New York for the most Five-Diamond awarded restaurants and hotels. AAA recently handed out their 2008 awards which revealed that fact.

The awards are handed out in two categories based on excellence in hotel and restaurant. Cities are recognized for the number of each in which they possess, as well as how many Five-Diamond properties (restaurant or hotel) they have combined.

Projects such as CityCenter, The Harmon Hotel, Mandarin Oriental, Vdara, Veer Towers, Trump International, The Plaza Hotel, Venetian Palazzo, Echelon, Shangri-La, Delano, Fontainebleau, and more contribute to these impressive numbers.
As soon as 2009, Las Vegas could become the leader of AAA Five-Diamond Awards. Quite exciting for a city that had zero awards as early as the 1999 list.
