Two famous restaurants are coming to the Las Vegas Strip entertainment scene. Here’s your chance to experience the utmost in gourmet Chinese dining. Are you ready for some good “Chow”?
Chow and Chow
Over the past three years, Las Vegas has become a world class destination for fine dining and upscale shopping. Cities such as New York, London and Los Angeles have always stole the show when it comes to chic hotspots. Now these cities have a rival as trendy restaurants swing their way to the desert.
Two big restaurant announcements surfaced in late August 2007. Better yet? They’re coming to one corner…Harmon and LV Blvd.
- Mr. Chow has signed on to The Harmon Hotel at MGM MIRAGE CityCenter. (see link for more info on this development)
- Philippe by Philippe Chow will now have a location in The Cosmopolitan Resort Casino. (follow link to get an update on the Cosmo project)
Mr. Chow
Mr. Chow attracts an A-List clientele. With locations only found in London, New York, Miami and Beverly Hills…the choice to come to The Harmon Hotel is big news for Sin City. Mr. Chow’s success can be highly attributed to its founder, Michael Chow. Michael Chow has a background full of interesting facts including the study of architecture, working as an artist and acting in motion pictures since the 1950’s.
With a contemporary look and lounge vibe, some of the frequent visitors to the restaurant include professional athletes and the who’s who of the entertainment business. Names include Serena Williams, Jessica Simpson, Uma Thurman, Nicole Richie, Rachel Ray, Stella McCartney, Matthew McConaughey and Jessica Alba.
Philippe by Philippe Chow
Philippe Chow came to Manhattan and started working in the kitchen of Mr. Chow in 1980 (please note that Philippe and Michael are unrelated). Philippe worked with some of the best chefs in the world in his 25 year career at Mr. Chow and is attributed with making it one of the most visited restaurants in Manhattan.
Philippe left the company in 2005 to open his own restaurant in New York. Now the establishment is coming to The Cosmopolitan Resort Casino on LV Boulevard, neighbors with The Harmon Hotel.
In Closing
Philippe was instrumental to the success of Mr. Chow in NY. It should be quite interesting to see Philippe Chow and Mr. Chow on the same corner!
As new high rise luxury condominiums begin to fill the skyline, a global audience is embracing Sin City.
