In 8 Years Las Vegas Has Achieved 9 Five Diamond Awards

To go from nothing to the AAA 5 Diamond award status for five hotels and four restaurants over the past eight years shows just how far Las Vegas has climbed the luxury status ladder.
Las Vegas is truly in the process of a major transformation from cheap buffets to fine hotels and dining. Think it’s easy to achieve that level of service and perfection in just 8 years? Think again.
Over 60,000 establishments across North America, not just the US, are reviewed for the AAA five diamond award. Only 160 operations achieved that level this year. The odds are clearly against you and achieving a multi-year repeat of a five diamond AAA award is even more difficult.
The logistics alone are mind boggling. Consider that Bellagio has 3,900 rooms, the Venetian has 4,000 rooms and Wynn has 2,700 rooms until Encore is opened. To provide a 5 diamond level of service from the hotel operation to fine dining is no easy task.
How about achieving the 5 diamond status for multiple years? Did you know that Bellagio has received this award for the past seven years? Similar achievements have been made by the Four Seasons for nine years, Le Cirque at Bellagio for five years and Picasso at Bellagio for seven years.
Las Vegas is now equal to New York City for the number of overall five diamond awarded hotels and restaurants. With the future showing MGM MIRAGE’s CityCenter, Palazzo, Encore, Echelon, Fontainebleau coming into the mainstream, there’s no doubt all bets are on Las Vegas. This means Las Vegas is truly destined to be tbe number one five diamond awarded city. It further illustrates Las Vegas has achieved world class status as an international destination for luxury services.
